Dr. Onana visiting the WHRC in July 2004

The WHRC is currently assisting the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MINEF) of Cameroon and the World Resources Institute (WRI) to promote transparency in the forest sector and to fight against illegal logging by providing satellite imagery and technical assistance.

In July 2004, Dr. Vincent Paul Onana, Associate Professor at the University of Douala in Cameroon, visited the Center to discuss a collaboration regarding the monitoring of the Cameroonian coastal forests using radar satellite imagery.
